In memory of Sophia Anna (Dobson) Jensen. She was born in Parowan, Iron County, Utah
on October 7, 1875, the 6th child of Peter and Boudild Marie Jensen. Her seven siblings were:
Niels, Andrea Christina, Peter Andrew, Heber John, Catherina Caroline, Joseph Willard, and
Wilford Augustus. She married Henry Wolfenberger Dobson in 1905.
She was baptized on September 25, 1948 and endowed on February 16, 1950.
Sophia Anna died on July 9, 1956 at the age of 80.
Sophia Jensen Dobson Little Obituary
Native of Utah Succumbs to a Heart Ailment Mrs Sophia Jensen Dobson Little, 76, died Sunday,
February 4, 1951 at 7:40 a. m. in a Salt Lake hospital of a heart ailment. She had been residing
with a niece, Mrs. Rudell Thompson, 3304 Lake Street, for the past 13 years.
Mrs. Little was born on October 7, 1875 in Parowan, Iron County, Utah, a daughter of Peter Taylor
and Bodild Marie Jensen. She resided in Richfield and Beaver City until 1936 when she moved to
Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was married to Henry Wolfenberger Dobson in Salt Lake City on February 5, 1907. He was
killed in an auto accident 14 years later. In 1924 she married Billy Little in Karlsbad, California.
He died 12 years ago.
Mrs. Little was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and for a number of
years had been a member of the Primary Association of the Purnal Dale LDS Ward.
Surviving are her two brothers Joseph Willard, employed in the business office of the Salt Lake
Tribune Telegram and Neils Jensen, Beaver City, Utah.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at 24th East 7th South by Carl N. Bludfield,
bishop of the Columbus LDS Ward. Burial will be in Salt Lake City.
